Tommy started making his jerky when he was a single dad back in Georgia.
As a widower raising 4 kids who were active in sports, he wanted to have a
healthy, inexpensive snack for them while they were at the ballfields. When
covid hit in 2020 and he was laid off from his job as a safety director, he
decided to do what everyone had told him all along, which was to start
selling the jerky!
Based out of his home in Watson, LA, he and Marc perfected the recipe and began selling at local farmer's markets. As the Bubba Rex following grew, he
expanded the flavors to Spicy, Hot, and a Low Sodium. At the customer’s
requests, he has also added flavors such as Carolina Reaper, Teriyaki, and
Dill, all of which have become insanely popular.
It’s made with 100% bottom round beef, no preservatives, and no gluten.
The teriyaki has a little bit of brown sugar in the marinade, but other than
that, there is zero sugar in any of the other blends, so this makes a high-
protein, good-quality snack.
